Suzy Hoodless

Suzy Hoodless has done some gorgeous interior design projects, two of which are in Scotland. The first is a ski lodge in Scotland, and the second [below] is a contemporary lodge in Scotland. Below that are the lovely wallpapers she has designed for Osborne and Little.

More images of my house

We started renovating our house 4 years ago - and it's still not finished! It also looks much more cluttered now than it did then - it's just as well I took these photos to remember how clutter-free it used to be!!

we are going to remove this old unused fireplace soon, to better utilise the space for displaying china etc.

Wall murals part 1

As my latest obsession is to paint trees, I was searching the internet for more tree images for my paintings when I found this dramatic and well-designed tree mural on Ayos: Living ReArrangements blog originally from Design Sponge. The mural is by Sakura Snow.... very inspiring!

Mark Drake-Briscoe

Mark Drake-Briscoe is a master of Chinoisserie who paints in this beautiful style with lacquer and hand-mixed pigment on furniture and mirror frames. He also paints large Indian Miniature style paintings and Western style tempera and oil paintings (featured on my art blog).

Jonathan Berger

I recently stumbled upon Jonathan Berger's work while browsing the House Beautiful website looking for rooms with bold colours on the walls. I also discovered a brilliant blog called Colour me Happy which I am very happy about!

the first thing that caught my eye is the patterned fabric on the chair, above left

also the same fabric on the sofa hiding behind the pink chairs, above left

Hand-painted walls

I love the idea of hand-painted walls. They are so unique and almost any kind of design can be achieved. Or you could have a printed removable mural as down below from Ecosalon.
