Inner suburbs of Sydney are famous for their terraces - mostly in Paddington, Darlinghurst, Glebe etc. They have wonderful iron lace balconies which I used to draw.
I once lived in a terrace in Leichardt which was done up to look like a chalet - we called it the Medieval Swiss Chalet. It was great! I also lived in a terrace in Ultimo for 6 months which stank of stale chip oil from the shop next door... the things you put up with as a student!
